About me
Jeff Hedstrom is a GIS Analyst/Cadastral Theme Lead at the Montana State Library (MSL) and Past President on the MAGIP Board of Directors. His primary focus at MSL includes maintaining the Cadastral and CadNSDI datasets within the MSDI framework as well as maintaining metadata collections, developing GIS applications pertaining to his primary focus and collaborates with other MSL geographic information staff or other local/state government GIS employees within his discipline to help solve complex geographic problems. Prior to joining the MSL team, he was the GIS Coordinator for the City of Great Falls for six years. He has been a MAGIP member for 12 years and is currently in his final year of a three-year term of Vice President-President-Past President on the MAGIP Board of Directors. He also spent time on the Board from 2016-18 as the Professional Development Chair. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences (concentrating in GIS) from Montana State University in 2012 and a Master of Professional Studies in Geographic Information Technology from Northeastern University in 2019.
