About me
Andy Merkel has worked at MDT for four years in the Right of Way Bureau. Andy graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation. He has worked previously for the Western Transportation Institution’s Rural Safety Center and the Ravalli County Road Department. He has spent seven years in the transportation sector, in preconstruction, construction, and safety engineering roles. Andy has spent the previous four years developing the ArcGIS geospatial reference program maps alongside his engineering role for the Right of Way Bureau.
